Vertical Machine Centers Romi D series were designed to operate in high production environments as well as in toolrooms.
Structure
Robust structure, manufactured in cast iron, especially projected with 3D CAD system and all the structure dimensioned by finite elements analisys
software (FEA). Present excellent rigidity and absorption vibrations results with excellent thermal and geometric stability. Upper and lower tables move on linear guides and are driven by double-nut ball screws that guarantee positioning accuracy and repeatability.
Headstock
It is composed of a robust spindle cartridge with ultra precision bearings.
Infinitely variable high speed spindle but strong enough to give excellent performance during heavy cutting. Superior rigidity and precision even during full power machining. Presents excellent run out precision, with low temperature elevation of bearings, even if operating continuously in high rotations.
Automatic tool changer
The ROMI D Series machining centers are equipped with fast, accurate, and reliable automatic tool changers, helping to increase productivity and machining efficiency.
High technology CNC, with excellent performance and reliability
The Machines are equipped with CNC GE Fanuc 0i-MC (Romi D 600, D 800, D 1000, D 1250) or CNC Siemens Sinumerik 828D (Romi D 600, D 800, D 1000, D 1250 e D 1500), serial plug communication interfaces and PCMCIA card drive to send and store data, offering to the users great flexibility for programs and parameters loading.
